How to warm-up for benching with an arch
So now you've decided to bench with an arch but want to make sure you warmup properly to be ready! I like to divide my upper body warm ups into two main categories- mobilization and activation. For mobilization drills I like to stretch and foam roll the thoracic and lumbar areas. A good stretch I like for arch in bench is the cat cow stretch. For activation drills I like to focus queuing myself to activate my lats. A drill I find helps with this is banded straight arm pulldowns!
